What we collect
- Account info you provide: name, email, phone, school/district, shipping addresses, contact roles.
- Quote and order data you generate on the site, including POs you upload.
- Session state stored in a first-party cookie so you can stay logged in and your quote cart persists between pages.
- Recently viewed products and personalized recommendations stored in a first-party cookie (
bc_recent) to power the “Recently viewed” row and the “Based on your browsing” section. Optional — only set when you grant the personalization cookie category.
What we don’t collect
- No third-party advertising trackers.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No selling of personal information.
Cookies
Cookies we use fall into two categories:
- Strictly necessary
- Session and CSRF cookies required to keep you logged in, protect forms, and hold your quote cart. These are always set and cannot be disabled.
- Personalization
- The
bc_recentcookie remembers what products you viewed so we can show a “Recently viewed” row and a “Based on your browsing” recommendation section. Only set when you grant the personalization category — choose Essential only on the cookie banner to opt out.
You can change your preference at any time via the control.
Your rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.

Retention
Quote and order records are retained for standard business-records purposes (typically 7 years) to support warranty, returns, and accounting obligations. Account contacts can be deactivated and will be preserved for audit but hidden from active use.
